CIVICS & SOCIAL ISSUES

 

Anastasia Goodstein, SVP of the Ad Council’s Digital Innovation group, will share lessons in celebrating diversity through the Love Has No Labels campaign with the launch of their first geo-location game, The League of Extraordinary Humans.
Florent Maurin, President of video game studio The Pixel Hunt, reveals his methods for creating games that respectfully engage with the realities that inspire them.

 

GAMES FOR LEARNING

 

Adam Bellow, Co-Founder ofBreakout EDU, will highlight the trajectory of educational games and how it is being used today with other new technologies to stimulate learning engagement.
Angel Rich, CEO and Founder ofWealthyLife, will share her experience leveraging gamification to teach financial literacy.
 

NEUROGAMING AND HEALTH

 

Zoran Popović, Computer Science Professor and Director of the Center for Game Science at the University of Washington, will break down the remarkable results of playing Mozak, a scientific discovery game that is accelerating neuroscience research.

Kristin Cook, Producer at Sesame Workshop, will reflect on Sesame Street’s new game, Big Bird’s Comfy-Cozy Nest, which is teaching children self-comforting techniques as a response to traumatic experiences.
